Garth grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa where he began selling Mercedes-Benz Automobiles in 1980 after he graduated the University of Witwatersrand. He moved to California in 1983 and continued to excel in the Automotive space. Garth joined Fletcher Jones in December, 1991 when Mr. Jones purchased the Mercedes-Benz Dealership in Newport Beach out of bankruptcy Court. He led the Number 1 luxury Automobile Dealership, Fletcher Jones Motorcars, in the United States for 19 years in a row delivering 9,500 cars per year. ( 1999-2017). Garth partnered with Fletcher Jones to develop and open a new Mercedes-Benz Dealership in Temecula in April, 2014. Recognized internationally, Garth consulted on best practices and introduced the concept of Business Development Centers in 1999 / 2000. He went on to travel globally to the U.K. Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and China working with Manufacturers and Automotive Groups. With over 40 years of experience in Sales Leadership, People Development, Marketing and Guest Experiences, Garth continues to maintain a maniacal focus on operating what he calls the "People business". While developing Unstoppable Automotive Group in 2020 / 2021, Garth coined the phrase "building relationships one Guest at a time" which is now the tagline used at all of the Group’s Dealerships.
After completing University with a degree in management and marketing, Ken began his career in Boston, selling Mercedes-Benz in 1986. Ken transitioned his vocation to health and wellness where he was a top leader and recognized nationally for optimizing sales, employee development and guest experience. Ken was introduced to Garth Blumenthal in 1992 where he eventually was recruited as the Wellness Director for Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport Beach, CA (1997–2010). Since then, Ken joined Unstoppable Automotive Group as the VP of Operations. He is in charge of group operations, acquisition strategies, sales process, and management consulting.
James, a 4-decade veteran of the retail automotive business beginning back in 1985 in various key positions throughout his career. He has been serving in general management positions since 1993, turning around dealerships from mediocrity to award winning super profitable dealerships. He has been recognized several times by Toyota Motor Sales/Toyota Motor North America with the President’s award, Circle of Excellence award plus many other awards. James served as General Manager and Partner at Keyes European Mercedes-Benz and was recognized by Mercedes-Benz with 7 “Best of the Best” awards. With close to 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry James has mentored hundreds of colleagues with their careers into management and including general managers and dealer principals. James is a dedicated father to his 5 children and his wife Shelley of 30years; he is also a life-long learning and a voracious reader of history, philosophy, psychology, and self-improvement. James enjoys cycling, golf and his family time.
Kenneth “Ken” grew up in Long Beach, CA and is the Financial Controller for Unstoppable Automotive Group. He graduated from Long Beach State with a degree in Business Management and an emphasis on Accounting. Ken has a deep tenure in the corporate accounting space and was formerly an auditor for the State of Texas. Ken spent most of his career working for Mike Jackson with AutoNation, the nation’s largest public automotive group. His experience extrends across several luxury and domestic brands including Porsche, Bentley, Audi, Toyota, Ford, and Honda. Ken specializes in tax planning, real estate, acquisitions, accounting controls and processes. In his free time, he enjoys surfing and golfing with his two boys.
Marty, a Philadelphia native, comes from an automotive family. Marty began visiting dealerships as a boy with his father who worked for BMW NA, and by age 10 he was hooked! After earning his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Duke University and Indiana University, respectively, he started his career with the Ford Motor Company in corporate finance. After eight years with Ford, Marty began a 21-year career with Mercedes-Benz USA in various sales and region management positions. Prior to joining the Unstoppable team, Marty ran the sales, distribution, and network development divisions of Genesis Motor America.
Volker “VJ” brings over two decades of experience in the automotive industry, including B2B and B2C sales & marketing within the automotive vertical. He is a published author and contributing editor for Social Media Today, Driving Sales, and Digital Dealer Magazine. In addition, he has spoken at multiple automotive marketing venues in the U.S., Germany, and Italy. Volker now drives the end-to-end marketing operations focused on streamlining marketing processes, improving growth hacking opportunities, and widening our operation’s digital footprint. His experience includes significant advisory and leadership roles with Volvo Cars USA, Cadillac, Ford Direct, Nissan USA, CDK Global, Lithia Motors, Sons Automotive, Fremont Motors, and the Jim Ellis Group.
Amir, the group’s Development Director joined the team in 2016. He began his automotive career at Mercedes-Benz of Temecula as a receptionist where he first met Garth Blumenthal. He managed the First Impressions department before being recruited by Fletcher Jones Management group as a Consultant with the task of developing the first inbound call center for their western region (2017-2018). He later reconnected with Garth who had plans to acquire more dealerships and build Unstoppable Auto Group. Amir’s passion for the industry led him to hold various roles within the organization. This includes Customer Experience, IT Operations, Marketing and Business Development. Recently, he has been involved in spearheading the group’s acquisitions which include an Audi, Volvo, and Polestar dealership.
