The electric vehicle revolution is taking off as a growing number of drivers recognize the benefits of getting behind the wheel of an all-electric or hybrid car. We’re proud to be leading the way here at our network of Unstoppable Automotive dealerships across California with a tremendous range of electric cars and SUVs in our inventory. If you’re considering going electric, take a look at the Audi,¬†Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz EVs we’ve got on offer.

Electric Cars and SUVs for Sale in California

Audi, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz’s cars and SUVs have helped establish each brand as a leader in the shift toward electric vehicles. Volvo has set itself the goal of achieving 100% of its sales from electric vehicles by 2030, while Audi has plans to unveil a series of new EVs over the coming years. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has announced that from 2025 onwards, all newly launched vehicles will be electric-only. On top of that, customers will be able to choose an all-electric alternative for every existing model.

Audi e-tron Lineup

One of the most popular EVs in our dealerships’ showrooms is the Audi e-tron. This electric SUV provides luxury accommodation for up to five passengers. Its all-electric power train has a driving range of 222 miles.

The power train consists of a lithium-ion battery and two motors that combine to produce up to 355 horsepower. If you switch to Audi’s boost mode, you can lift the performance to 402 horsepower, which allows you to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 5 seconds. You can charge the e-tron in nine hours with a 240-volt outlet.

If you’d prefer an electric car from Audi, check out the e-tron GT. The standard e-tron GT’s power train pumps out an impressive 469 horsepower, while the RS configuration pushes the limit even further to 590 horsepower. It has a driving range of 238 miles when fully charged, which is slightly above the e-tron SUV.

The compact cabin provides room for four people, and the front and rear trunks offer a combined storage capacity of about 11 cubic feet.

Volvo Recharge Lineup

Volvo also has some excellent EVs to choose from. The XC40 Recharge is an all-electric subcompact SUV based on the class-leading XC40 gas-powered model. For a compact crossover, the XC40 Recharge offers lots of cargo-carrying capacity at the rear and plenty of room for adult passengers in both rows.

The XC40 Recharge has two electric motors powering the front and rear wheels, giving this Volvo all-wheel drive. The power train’s 402 horsepower can shift this crossover from 0 to 60 mph in just over four seconds. Its driving range with a battery on a full charge is 223 miles.

The C40 Recharge has a less rugged design than the XC40 Recharge, but many of the same power train components. It can also put out 402 horsepower and has a driving range of over 270 miles when fully charged.

Mercedes-Benz EQ Lineup

If you’d prefer a Mercedes-Benz EV, check out the Mercedes-Benz EQS. In its base setup, this five-seater electric car features a single motor and a lithium-ion battery that combine to put out 329 horsepower. An upgraded power train adds a second motor to boost the output to over 500 horsepower. The EQS has a driving range of 350 miles, and it takes approximately 11 hours to charge its battery with a 240-volt outlet.

The Benefits of Electric Vehicles

Saving Money on Gas

One of the key benefits of buying an EV is that you’ll avoid high gas prices. Instead of filling up your tank at the pump, you can charge your electric car or SUV at home or at one of the thousands of high-speed charging stations in California and across the country. If you go to a public charging station, also known as a level 3 charging station, you’ll be able to recharge your battery in an hour or less. If you install a level 2 charging station in your home, you’ll be able to charge your EV overnight.

Tax Credits

Another bonus that comes with buying an EV is that you can apply for a tax credit on your purchase price. The tax credit can save you up to $7,000.

There’s never been a better time to go electric. As the availability of EVs grows and a more varied selection of vehicles reaches dealerships, buyers in the market for a new vehicle have a better choice than ever before.

Entertainment and Technology

On top of that, the interiors of our Audi and Volvo EVs provide the upscale feel you’ve come to expect from these top-quality brands over the years. Their modern and user-friendly infotainment systems include all the tech you and your passengers will need for an enjoyable drive, whether it’s for the daily commute or during a longer trip.

Reduced Maintenance Costs

Another huge benefit of electric vehicles is that there are fewer parts to service, so they are generally less expensive to maintain than traditional gas-powered vehicles. Because electric vehicles do not have internal combustion engines, there is no oil to change, no gaskets to replace, no valves to clog, and more! In fact, the analytical firm recently acquired by J.D. Power, We Predict, stated that “on average, it costs $7 for owners to maintain their EVs in the first year of ownership.”

Knowledgeable Finance Experts

At our finance center, you can talk to one of our auto financing experts about securing a competitive loan to fund your EV purchase. We have experience in working with a wide range of customers with a variety of financing needs, which enables us to create payment plans to suit your situation.

If you decide that buying an EV outright isn’t the right choice for you, we can talk to you about our leasing options and incentives. With a lease, you can drive away in one of our electric cars or SUVs for an agreed period of time in exchange for making monthly lease payments. Once the lease period is up, you only need to return the vehicle to us in good condition to complete the agreement. You’re then free to purchase another car or agree to a further lease.

Charging Times for EVs

The length of time it takes to charge your EV varies depending on several factors, including the size of your vehicle’s battery and the type of charger you use. There are three main types of EV charger: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

A Level 1 charger is a standard household power outlet, which can take several days to fully charge an EV’s battery. A more practical option is offered by a Level 2 charger, which you can find at public charging stations or get installed at your home at your own cost. These chargers take about 8-11 hours to fully charge an EV’s battery. Lastly, a Level 3 charger, or DC fast charger, can power up your battery in an hour or less. These chargers are only available at public sites and are generally more expensive to use.

You can see the differences in charging times by viewing the EVs in our showroom. For example, the Volvo XC40 Recharge takes approximately seven hours to charge on a Level 2 charger. That’s slightly less than the Audi e-tron, which needs about nine hours on a Level 2 charger.

Why Shop for an EV at Unstoppable Automotive?

In addition to having a great selection of EVs for you to choose from, our finance department can make your shopping experience a whole lot easier. You can quickly apply for a car loan by completing our online form. Alternatively, you can consider leasing one of our EVs for a fixed period, such as two or three years.

You can also rely on our service center for routine maintenance for years to come. Although EVs require less maintenance than gas-powered cars, they still need some care to keep them in top condition. You’ll still need your tires to be rotated, your battery tested, and your brake pads checked.
